Bingham Town Wildcats Winners
February 2022 saw the launch of our new reward and recognition scheme to recognise some of the great work that our grassroots coaches and volunteers are doing behind the scenes to support us in helping young girls to develop a real love for the game.
As well as this, it gives us an opportunity to share good practice and some great initiatives developed by Weetabix Wildcats providers to increase engagement and provide a positive playing experience to inspire young girls through the delivery of the Weetabix Wildcats sessions to ensure it is a fun and safe environment for everyone involved.
As the first launch of this award it was really pleasing to see the volume of nominations that were submitted amongst those involved in the Weetabix Wildcats programme from coaches, volunteers, and parents; particularly from those amongst Bingham Town.
Michelle Marshall, Participation Development Officer said… “Based on some great pieces of good practice identified we have been able to share some of these amongst the Weetabix Wildcats providers community and having seen Bingham Wildcats grow from strength to strength they couldn’t be more deserving winners. Just to highlight a few.
- Recognising positive behaviour and participant development through Wildcat of the Week initiative.
-
Free Wildcats t-shirt shared with girls following their second session to give them a sense of belonging to the group.
- It was also highlighted by a number of parents/ guardians that there is a great relationship and commitment from everyone involved in the club; they have regularly updates shared with them by their communication channels and some parents highlighted how they involve them and the participants with some of the decision making which was pleasing to read.”
On presenting Bingham Town with their Inspiring the Future Award; Andy Smith just one of 10 Wildcat Coaches said....
“Our Wildcats sessions have gone from strength to strength over the past 4 years, providing great pathways for more and more girls wanting to have fun, make friends and develop as footballers and providing a training ground for new coaches. It's great to receive this Notts FA award and see the fantastic feedback we got from parents.”
Everyone at Notts FA would like to Congratulate Bingham Town with this Award and we thank everyone involved in the Wildcats Community for all their support and contribution to developing girls football opportunities in the County.
