Proposed New NSL Development League
Nottinghamshire Senior League are excited to announce plans for a new Development Division for Season 2020-21 -subject to there being sufficient interest.
The aim of this new division is to support the transition of clubs and players from youth to adult football.
A NSL spokeperson said ‘The league committee are excited to be launching this new offer within our already established Saturday football offer. The league has been working closely with Notts FA to align a clear pathway for Saturday football which has seen our competition grow to over 80 teams all fully supported by our league development plan. It has been the leagues ambition to link the adult game to the youth game and we are pleased to be working closely with Notts Youth League who understand this area of the game’.
The Notts Youth League commented - ‘We are proud to support the ongoing development of youth grassroots football within the county and pride ourselves on our football offer. When the County FA and NSL approached us to work closely together on the transition of youth teams to adult competitions we felt it was not only the right opportunity but the right time to establish this link. We have worked hard to grow our U18’s and U19’s offer in recent years which now features 65 teams and by offering them a clear pathway into adult football is a positive step forward’.
