Referees play a vital role in grassroots football across our County and across the country.
That’s why we are dedicated to producing, supporting and maintaining an incredible cohort of talented Referees here at Nottinghamshire County Football Association. We work hard to provide a wide range of opportunities and support to the registered referees officiating across the County already, and encourage those looking to get into refereeing for the first time.
Our referees are recruited and trained to progress to higher levels within grassroots football, and gain experience to unlock further opportunities. Appointments are often made to adult and youth County Cup ties, together with games in certain FA competitions.
Refereeing allows you to remain active in the game following injury or retirement, to make new and lasting friends within the game, and to play a huge role in ensuring the players enjoy their match day experience.
