2024/25 Coaches Club Confirms 12 Events for Century of New Members
As the evenings draw in this October, our rekindled 2024/25 Coaches Club delivered it's second workshop of the year with a third pencilled in for this half term weekend. Kindly hosted by one of our 3* Accredited Clubs West Bridgford Colts, we welcomed members of our Coaches Club to Regatta Way Sports Ground.
Delivered to those aspiring to, or already coaching players aged 7-11, James Riches of The FA's Coach Development team visited Nottinghamshire to upskill our grassroots workforce in an evening that showcased simple but effective insights.
Following a discussion of training based scenarios in youth football we went under the floodlights to pick apart how to support and develop our young players, this involved individual and group competition with and without the ball.
Workshop #3 takes place this Sunday at Calverton Miners Welfare which is hosted by one of our own and highly experienced goalkeeping coach Bill Bennett with the content specialising in match day warm ups for goalkeepers.
More workshops to be delivered before the New Year include;
- Mon 18th Nov - Delivering Engaging Sessions for U12-U16's, delivered by The FA, Calverton Miners Welfare, 18:30 Start
- Wed 4th Dec - Diversifying the Women and Girl's Pathway, delivered by Nottingham Forest Head of Girl's Academy, Dave Long, The City Ground, 18:30 Start
- Mon 16th Dec - Exploring Nottingham's Potential in Grassroots Football, delivered by Grace Lowe (WSL and UEFA referee), Matt Lawson (PFA Lead Dietician and University of Birmingham Head Coach) and Richard Allen (High Performance Coach and Nottingham Forest Education), Notts FA Headquarters, 18:30 Start
There is also potential for a 'Supporting Mental Health in Grassroots Football' workshop in November*
