Safeguarding and Business Support Officer Vacancy

The Nottinghamshire Football Association is looking to appoint a full time Safeguarding & Business Support Officer (Deputy DSO).

Reporting directly to the Designated Safeguarding Officer the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate they are a committed and hard-working person who is passionate about the future of grassroots football in Nottinghamshire. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding and child protection together with a working knowledge of safeguarding legislation.

Overview of the role:

  • Work under the direction of the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) and alongside the Senior Safeguarding lead to support the safeguarding of children and adults at risk of harm in line with legislation, FA Safeguarding Policy, Procedures, Regulations, Standards and Guidance.
  • Significantly contribute to the implementation of The FA’s Safeguarding 365 for County FAs.
  • Support delivery of The FA Grassroots Football Strategy and Nottinghamshire Football Associations Business Strategy.
  • Assist the Senior Management Team with the compliance and monitoring of the CFA Code of Governance

The successful applicant will need to be passionate and committed to the development of football at a local level; be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. They will need to demonstrate exceptional customer service, be able to work as part of a team with excellent planning, communication and presentation skills.

You will be required to work 35 hrs per week and have a flexible approach to hours worked, as these may include evenings and weekend. This post is a full-time role on a permanent contract. This role is based at Nottinghamshire County FA Headquarters and will currently include a mix of office and homeworking (staff currently work 3 days a week in the office).
