Saturday Senior Cup Final Update
We can confirm that the Saturday Senior Challenge Cup Final will now take place at Eastwood CFC's Halbrooke Stadium.
The final was due to be played at Meadow Lane, however with Notts County more than likely to be participating in the National League Play-offs it has now been moved to Eastwood CFC.
Nottinghamshire FA Head of Football Operations, Marc Birkett said "Having worked with our pro clubs before and during the season to explore the feasibility of hosting our County Finals on their grounds we appreciated the window of opportunity that Notts County afforded us. The hosting of the Senior Cup Final at Meadow Lane was always based on them achieving automatic promotion with this now only being decided on the last game of the season, after close discussions it has been agreed that this timeframe is too tight a turn around to deliver a safe event for all concerned. Both finalists have been communicated with throughout the process and are aware that there was a need to secure a second venue for the final. Whilst disappointed that we cannot host at Meadow Lane this season we are pleased to announce that the Senior Cup Final will now take place at Halbrooke Stadium, Eastwood on the same date and time advertised".
The final sees Newark & Sherwood United take on last year’s winners Carlton Town. The fixture date and time are unaffected with the game taking place on Tuesday 2nd May with a 19:45 kick-off.
